West Nusa Tenggara Promotes Investment Opportunities on The 3rd Indonesia Investment Day Singapore
Tuesday, 22 September 2020. At the functional room in the representative office of Bank Indonesia, West Nusa Tenggara (WNT) Province, a webinar activity promoting investment opportunities in WNT Province was held in the context of The 3rd Indonesia Investment Day (IID) which was attended by the Regional Secretary of the WNT Provincal, Drs. H. Lalu Gita Aryadi, M.Si, Head of Bank Indonesia Representative Office of WNT Province, Heru Saptaji, Head of DPMPTSP (Dinas Penanaman Modal Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu/One Stop Investment Service and Licensing Office) WNT Province, Ir. H. Mohammad Rum, M.T, as well as project owners in WNT, both in person and online. This activity is an agenda organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) Singapore, Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal (BKPM) or the Investment Coordinating Board, and Bank Indonesia. This activity was attended by investors from Singapore and other countries.
Head of Bank Indonesia Representative Office of West Nusa Tenggara Province, Heru Saptaji said that Bank Indonesia in WNT Province together with the WNT Provincial Government since 2020 have formed a Tim Promosi Investasi Daerah (TPED) or Regional Investment Promotion Team which aims to invest and trade in WNT Province. In 2020, for the first time the Province of WNT will participate in IID activities in Singapore. WNT Province along with 11 (eleven) other Provinces were selected to participate in this activity because there are many strategic projects owned by WNT Province to be offered to foreign investors.
WNT Province promotes several prime investment areas which is in great demand by foreign investor including Special Economic Zone Mandalika in central Lombok, the Rinjani Geopark Area in East Lombok, the Kayangan Global Hub Area in North Lombok, and the SAMOTA Area which covering 3 (three) areas, namely Saleh Bay, Moyo Island, and Tambora. Bank Indonesia WNT Province is very interested in increasing investment in WNT Province, because of the investment entry into Indonesia especially the Province of WNT in addition to strengthen the foreign exchange reserve. It will also encourage increased Economic growth in WNT which ultimately improves the welfare of the society, Heru Saptaji continoued.
Meanwhile, The regional secretary of the WNT Provencial, Drs. H. Lalu Gita Aryadi, M.Si, who is also the head of the WNT Province Regional Economic Promotion Team in his speech he said that even in the Covid-19 condition investment realization in WNT up to semester 1 – 2020 could reach IDR 4,7 Trillion in a sectorally, most of the investment destinations are in the mining, transportation, and tourism sector with 3 (three) countries where the highest investor come from Australia, England, and Japan. The WNT Provincial Government continues to promote investment to various countries even in the Covid-19 pandemic including through online communication. For this reason the WNT Provincial Government highly welcome the IID investment webinar activity in 2020. And hope that things can attract foreign investors to invest in WNT in strategic project in the field of mining, tourism, agriculture, animal farm and so on with WNT’s motto “Investment-Friendly ” the WNT Provincial Government will ensure that entire investment process can be served as quickly and easily as possible, Drs.
